About This Workshop
YOUR INTRODUCTION TO THE WORLD OF DRIVING
Curious about driving? This 3-hour workshop is the perfect introduction to the world of horse-drawn driving — from harnessing and hitching to actually handling the lines. Whether you’ve always been interested in driving or you’re looking for a way to enjoy horses beyond riding, this workshop covers the fundamentals in a way that’s clear, safe, and hands-on for the eyes. Please note: this is a workshop, not a clinic — you will not be hauling your horse in for this event.
Learn the parts of the harness, the parts of the carriage, basic driving terminology, and watch live demonstrations of desensitizing a horse for traffic and preventing runaways. Driving is a rewarding discipline — especially for those who may not be able to ride anymore but still want to connect with horses in a meaningful way.

DIRECTIONS TO GRACE RANCH
- 1Come up to the gate — Grace Ranch. If closed, open and close behind you. If open, leave it open.
- 2Drive straight up to a gate with an arrow on it.
- 3Turn left and drive along the rail.
- 4Turn right and park in the big open pasture.
