Single Day • Weekend • Multi-Day Options

There's a moment that changes everything. When a rider who's felt fear creeping in, who's doubted themselves, suddenly feels their horse respond differently. Feels the trust. Feels the safety. Feels themselves come alive again. That moment is why we do this.

Why Host a Clinic?

We work with riders of all ages and disciplines. But our true calling—our specialty, our passion—is helping riders reclaim not just their confidence, but their joy. Riders in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s who thought they might have to give up riding. Who felt the creeping doubt. Who wondered if they could still do this safely.

These are our people.

🏆

Build Your Reputation

Position your barn as a destination for quality horsemanship education and transformation.

💡

True Transformation

Not just a nice day with a clinician. Real, lasting change in how riders feel about themselves and their horses.

🌟

Breakthrough Moments

Create the transformations that remind everyone why they fell in love with horses in the first place.

We Don't Work With Everyone

And that's intentional.

We only host clinics for barns filled with riders who are ready to think differently about horsemanship—who understand that connection and safety aren't luxuries, they're foundations. Riders who want to grow, not just go through the motions.

We've turned down opportunities. We've said no to barns that don't align with our philosophy.

Because this work only transforms when everyone at the table is committed to it.

When you host a Steady Horse clinic, you're not just booking an instructor. You're joining a movement of people who believe that horses deserve better, riders deserve better, and that the partnership between them is sacred.

How It Works

1

Submit Your Interest

Fill out the simple form below telling us about your facility, your ideal dates, and what you'd like to focus on. We'll review your submission and reach out within 48 hours to discuss availability and logistics.

2

Customize Your Clinic

We'll work with you to design a clinic that meets your community's specific needs. Whether it's groundwork fundamentals, addressing fear and confidence, trailer loading solutions, or advanced softness techniques—we tailor the curriculum to your riders' goals.

3

Spread the Word

Once your clinic is confirmed, you'll handle local promotion to fill your participant spots (we'll provide marketing materials and guidance). Set your own pricing to cover costs and even generate profit for your barn.

4

Welcome the Transformation

On clinic day, we bring the expertise, equipment, and energy. You provide the space and participants. Together, we create an experience your barn will remember—complete with hands-on instruction and practical skills.

What Makes This Different

We Don't Rush

We respect bodies that have lived. We understand that confidence isn't built overnight—it's earned, moment by moment, choice by choice.

🤲

We Don't Push

There's no "just get over it" energy here. No pressure. No shame. Just steady, loving guidance that meets riders exactly where they are.

🙏

We Honor the Journey

Every rider comes with a story. Some have fallen. Some have lost years to fear. We see all of it. We honor all of it. And we help them write a different ending.

👁️

True Seeing

We arrive to understand your riders—not as a group, but as individuals. We listen to their fears. We hear the stories behind the hesitation.

The Foundation: Groundwork That Changes Everything

Before anyone mounts a horse, everything begins on the ground. This is where the magic lives for older riders.

Groundwork is safe. It's clear. It's where connection happens without the vulnerability of being in the saddle. And for so many riders, groundwork clinics alone have created transformations that months of traditional lessons never touched.

The groundwork isn't just training. It's rebuilding. It's the moment a rider realizes: I can do this. My horse trusts me. I'm safe.

I came in feeling like I was done. I left knowing I have years ahead of me.

For the first time, my horse actually heard me.

I didn't know I could feel this confident again.

Then: The Mounted Work

Once the foundation is unshakeable, riders mount up—but only when they're ready, not when they're pushed.

And what happens then is extraordinary. Riders experience their horses responding in ways they've never felt before. The horse becomes softer, calmer, more present. And the rider? They discover a version of themselves they thought was gone—confident, capable, alive in the saddle again.

They leave with tools. Real ones. Practical ones. Things they can practice at home and feel the results immediately.

Not complicated theories. Simple, clear steps they'll remember and practice at home. Many riders tell us the clinic stays with them for years. It becomes the moment they stopped limiting themselves.

A Real Clinic Day

1

Morning: The Opening

Riders arrive nervous. We gather in a circle. Each person shares what brought them: the fall that scared them, the feeling of being invisible, the doubt that maybe they're too old. Noah listens and says: "You're in the right place." Somehow, they believe it.

2

The Teaching

Simple whiteboard explanation of the "why"—not jargon, just clarity. People's eyes light up. One woman whispers: "I thought I was doing it wrong all these years."

3

Groundwork Breakthrough

Sarah, 67, walks to the arena with Scout, a horse she's been terrified of. Within 20 minutes of clear, simple groundwork, Scout's breathing softens. He lowers his head toward her. Sarah's eyes fill with tears: "He heard me."

Across the arena, a man who's been "fighting his horse for years" watches his lazy horse suddenly become engaged and responsive. The same horse. Different leadership. Everything changes.

4

Midday: Community

Over lunch, riders who came in feeling alone are exchanging phone numbers and planning to ride together. Someone asks: "Can we do this again next month?"

5

Afternoon: In the Saddle

Sarah mounts up. Her hands shake slightly, but there's trust now. She walks. Just walks. But in that walk is a woman who thought she was done. Who just realized she's not. The woman who was terrified of falling? She's trotting. Not racing. Just moving forward with her horse, feeling safe.

6

The Closing Circle

We gather again. People are sitting taller. There's lightness. Noah asks: "What's different?"

"I feel safe.""My horse trusts me.""I forgot how much I love this.""I thought I was too old. I don't think that anymore."

Who Gets to Host a Clinic?

Not every barn. Not every group of riders. We look for:

Committed Riders

People who want to grow, not just maintain. Who are willing to question the old ways and embrace something new.

A Shared Philosophy

A barn culture that values connection, safety, and the relationship between horse and human above all else.

Openness

Riders willing to be seen, to be vulnerable, to trust the process even when it feels different.

A Desire for Real Transformation

Not just a nice day with a clinician. Real, lasting change in how riders feel about themselves and their horses.

When those elements are present, something sacred happens.

Here's What We Need From You

We're selective about who we work with because we care deeply about the outcome. We'll work with you to design something perfect for your riders—whether that's groundwork-only (often the deepest work) or a full groundwork + mounted experience.

Facility Requirements

Enclosed arena with safe, quality footing (covered or open). Round pen preferred but not required.

Travel & Accommodation

Host provides travel expenses, lodging, and local transportation for the duration of the clinic.

Riders Who Are Ready

Ready to think differently. Ready to try something new. Ready to invest in their transformation. The ones who show up with that energy? They experience something they'll carry with them forever.
