CLINIC & WORKSHOP
POLICIES

Refund Policy
  • All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for clinics, workshops, or any event registrations.
  • If you are unable to attend your scheduled event, you may transfer your registration to a different date of the same event type, subject to availability.
  • To request a transfer, contact us at least 7 days before your scheduled event. Transfer requests made less than 7 days before the event will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Transferred registrations are non-refundable and may only be transferred one time.
  • No refunds will be given if a participant or their horse is turned away due to failure to meet requirements (including but not limited to Coggins test, liability waiver, or safety compliance).
Cancellation by Steady Horse
  • In the rare event that Steady Horse must cancel an event due to circumstances beyond our control (extreme weather, facility emergency, etc.), all registered participants will receive a full credit toward a future event of equal value.
  • Steady Horse reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events with a minimum of 48 hours notice when possible.
  • If an event is cancelled by Steady Horse, participants will be notified via email and/or SMS.
Safety Requirements
  • All participants must sign the Steady Horse Liability Waiver prior to the event. No exceptions.
  • Helmets are required for all mounted participants.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required for all attendees (riders, auditors, and guests).
  • Participants must follow all instructions given by Steady Horse clinicians and staff at all times.
  • Steady Horse reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is deemed unsafe to themselves, others, or the horses — without refund.
  • Children under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present and must have a signed parental consent on the liability waiver.
Horse Requirements
  • A current negative Coggins test (within 12 months) is required by Texas law for all horses brought to Grace Ranch. Horses without a valid Coggins test will not be permitted on the property, and no refund will be given.
  • Coggins certificates must be uploaded prior to the event or presented in person upon arrival.
  • Horses must be in good health and free of contagious conditions. Steady Horse reserves the right to refuse entry to any horse that appears ill, injured, or poses a risk to other animals.
  • Participants are responsible for their horse's behavior at all times. Any damage caused by a participant's horse to persons, animals, property, or facilities is the sole responsibility of the horse's owner/handler.
  • Stallions are not permitted unless explicitly approved in advance by Steady Horse staff.
Horse Rental & Boarding
  • Horse rental is available for select events, subject to availability. Rental fees are non-refundable.
  • Rental horses are provided for clinic use only. Participants must follow all handling instructions provided by Steady Horse staff.
  • Overnight boarding is available for $35 per night. Boarding fees are non-refundable.
  • Participants using overnight boarding are responsible for their horse during non-event hours. Steady Horse is not liable for injury, illness, or escape of boarded horses.
  • Feed is not provided for boarded horses. Participants must bring their own feed and supplies.
Photo & Video Policy
  • Steady Horse may photograph and video record all events for marketing, social media, educational, and promotional purposes.
  • By attending an event, participants and auditors acknowledge that they may be photographed or recorded.
  • Participants may opt out of photo and video use by notifying Steady Horse staff in writing prior to the event.
  • Participants are welcome to take personal photos and videos for their own use. Sharing on social media is encouraged — tag @steadyhorsetraining!
  • Commercial photography or video recording by attendees is not permitted without prior written consent from Steady Horse.
Code of Conduct
  • Steady Horse events are built on trust, respect, and patience — for both horses and people.
  • All attendees must treat clinicians, staff, volunteers, other participants, and all animals with respect and courtesy.
  • Abusive language, aggressive behavior, or mistreatment of any horse or person will result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
  • Alcohol and illegal substances are not permitted at Grace Ranch events.
  • Smoking is permitted only in designated areas away from horses and hay.
Weather Policy
  • Events are held rain or shine. Equine activities are outdoor activities, and weather conditions are part of the experience.
  • In the event of severe weather (lightning, tornado warnings, extreme heat advisories), Steady Horse clinicians will make real-time decisions about pausing, modifying, or concluding activities early for the safety of all participants and horses.
  • If an event is significantly shortened due to severe weather, Steady Horse may offer a partial credit toward a future event at its sole discretion. No refunds will be given.
Assumption of Risk
  • All participants acknowledge that equine activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to: falls, kicks, bites, being stepped on, allergic reactions, environmental hazards, equipment failure, and interactions with other horses or animals.
  • Under Texas law (Chapter 87, Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
  • By registering for and attending a Steady Horse event, participants accept full responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event.
